- Product enhancements: This year, we gave our partners:
- Multilingual abilities: the powers of native speakers with multilingual text-detection capabilities,
- Time control: enabled more real-time moderation workflows to allow teams (and AI agents) to adapt to trends in seconds,
- Decision powers: enabled policy-specific precision with dynamic LLM prompts, and;
- Peace of mind: launched our DSA Toolkit empowering VLOPs and smaller platforms’ to adapt seamlessly to evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Expanded integrations: Our AI Hub expanded to include partnerships with leading providers like new AWS Rekognition categories, OpenAI models, including explanations, Cohere fast decision models, Mistral light weight deployment, and SightEngine unique online harm categories. These integrations enriched our offerings in areas such as:

- hate speech moderation to meet diverse client needs.

- Empowering platforms: MoneySavingExpert set a new standard for community safety and compliance, enabling them to scale operations while maintaining an engaging and respectful user environment.
- Building trust: Instant Gaming’s adoption of Checkstep’s moderation workflows and analytics marked a turning point, achieving Digital Services Act compliance and reducing harmful user interactions by an impressive 40%.
- New partnerships: This year, we proudly welcomed innovators like Trustpilot, Shein, Chivy, and Bloop to the Checkstep family (photo above), helping them foster safer and more trustworthy digital experiences for millions of users worldwide.
Checkstep’s Industry leadership
- Leading the way: Checkstep team attended more than 10 global conferences about Online Safety. This includes TrustCon, Gamescom, GDI London, the Trust and Safety Summit, and TSPA EMEA & APAC. We shared our vision for the future of Trust and Safety, and shared best practices to help platforms be more efficient in deploying T&S at scale during numerous diners we organized in London, San Francisco and Berlin.
- Shaping regulations: We made impactful contributions to policy discussions surrounding the UK Online Safety Act and the EU Digital Services Act. Our development of the DSA Toolkit with relevant templates and resources exemplifies our commitment to empowering platforms to navigate these regulatory frameworks with confidence.
- Webinars: We’ve appeared on podcasts like Ukie’s “What is the Digital Services Act (DSA) and how will it impact games development? ” and hosted great fireside chats with partners like ModSquad on “How to build a comprehensive moderation program?”
Security and Privacy efforts
- Leading by example with the highest security standards: Customers now enjoy the most secure multi-tenant content moderation platform, thanks to the global deployment of delegated access and track Successfully completing a System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II audit, we solidified our reputation for upholding the highest standards of security and data integrity. Both the application and the infrastructure became more robust, preventing data leakage. The annual penetration test performed by 3rd parties validated our efforts.
- Reinforcing privacy: Reinforcing and reviewing our internal policies and practices, we ensured that privacy remains central to every aspect of our work, offering clients unparalleled peace of mind.
