Both the DSA (EU) and OSA (UK) require transparency, but the focus is different:
DSA: Standardised annual reports with specific metrics such as takedowns, appeals, and active users.
The emphasis is on harmonised, comparable data across the EU.
OSA: Reports are tailored to Ofcom’s regulatory framework and focus heavily on risk assessments, age assurance measures, and child safety outcomes.
In short, DSA reports emphasise operational data about moderation, while OSA reports emphasise risk management and harm reduction.
